Why is it special? It makes unique games more likely to be created. It makes unique games more possible. It makes unique games more playable. What other reason do you need?

Agreed.

For me, portable gaming is all about pick-up-and-play. If I'm gaming when I'm on the move, it'll only be for a few hours at the most and so I just want to turn the thing on, have a few quick hits, and then turn the thing off.

It would appear that DS games (especially Wario Ware, Mario Kart, Nintendogs, etc...) are designed to get you straight into the action, knowing that you're not going to spend all weekend playing the same thing.

The problem with the PSP is that whilst it is technically superior, the games are just ports of games that you want to be playing on a sofa on a widescreen TV. They just don't work on a hand-held.

Anyway, PSP has now been sold on eBay, and I'm waiting for the Lite's to come back in stock before I order one.

Oh and Stalkid64, good to have you back dude. :)

Another thing that I bet almost nobody noticed is that the Stylus is a little more thick and is more like a pen instead of a stick! That would feel better for Warioware!

Yup, bigger stylus all round. I'd guess it'll be much more comfortable generally. Very nearly ordered a DS Lite having seen the screen comparison pics alone but I saw a guitar this weekend I just had to go and buy. I bet the microphone repositioning comes into its own during Metroid VOIP chatting. As far as WEP/WPA go it's probably out of the question for a while yet. They haven't changed the firmware around at all from what I understand of homebrew scene reports. They probably see it as an unnecessary complication of the system they have going. WEP isn't particularly secure these days anyway. Not that I know anything about these things...

Sidenote; Cheers Jaz. Oh and welcome back to Tag' btw! Always good to see a few faces from the past still around.

Just make sure you stick around dude.

Anyway, semi off-topic but I finally got Mario Kart DS today! :) But I'm having trouble getting it online via a Belkin wireless router.

Basically I click on the "Search for Access Point" button and it finds the Belkin router info, but when I click on "Test Connection" it has full 3-bar signal, and then after about 30 seconds it goes to red no signal and gives me an error message.

Not out of range because I'm sat next to the damn thing!

How can it find the router but not connect to it? Any ideas? I'd like to get it sorted so we can finally start this ETMKDS Online Tournament going!
