New sound system

Oh christ my life is better with this thing in it... i used to have to listen to songs in headfones to hear any stereo tricks or pretty much antyhing left speaker (i had one workin speaker...) so i went out and bought a creative 2.1 surround sound system and OH MY GOD it rocks :inlove:

I ain`t got any speakers connected to the PC. I connected my l33t 5 cd Panasonic mini stereo system, 1400 watt, hehe. Real nice bass, gotta tell you that.

Umm...I think you got your wattage wrong. 1400 watts on a mini system would be insane. My THX certified 6.1 home theater system is only 600 watts with a 120 watt subwoofer.

Actually sound is yet another thing PS1 sucks at. Sounds in the 8KHz+ range tend to get distorted all the time.

1400 watt P.M.P.O, as in 2*70 watt RMS. It`s not much, but it`s enough to rock my cozy room.

Ok, that makes sense. I thought you were talking about 2*700 RMS, which would be overkill for a small room(and not something I would call a mini system )

Converting volts to watts? Eh, don`t volts and watts describe two COMPLETELY different things? Watts determine the power of the machine, while volts determine the power of the electrons.

Sony subs are pretty awesome..

If you want excellent speakers buy Bose ones, otherwise it's basically Sony or Creative if you want PC ones

i dont like bose, they spread the sound out too much when watching movies. They're not focused enough for me but I guess its a personal thing.

The Sony sub I have is real nice for the price($200 US). It has good sound, and low bass...but I'm wanting to upgrade to a Velodyne sub in the future.
