New error for me...

When I first download Project 64 1.6 it worked like a charm so did Project64k and I've been using those for years so what just happened? This is the first time I ever get an error! I actually get 2 and this is what they say

"Direct3D failed to initialize your HAL device make sure you have a properly configured 3D graphics card compatible with Direct3D 6.0"


"Failed to Initilize graphics"


Also, before I get flamed, yes I have used the search button but all the responces were confusing...

You've probably updated your gfx drivers to a bad version, try to update it again (with the same or a newer version) and it should work.
