need help wit the controller

hey guys im new at this n well igot to pj64 n i cant play games cuz its to hard to find the rite buttons so i tryed a game pad n joy stick n still i cant use them is there a certain controller that works for the pj 64 if so can u let me kno n where i can get it...? thanks

Project64 should work with any controller that supports DirectInput. That is, most controler's/gamepads sold in stores today.

It would help if you'd tell what gamepad you've tried with Project64.

i have a logitech "rumblepad vibration feedback gamepad" and im having the same problem... it doesnt work, any tips?

Well, i suggest using a xbox 360 controller with wire, its perfect to play 64 games with.

it doesn't require that driver, it works automatically using the HID drivers built into windows.

XBCD are a better driver as they allow control over button mapping and axis

When i started using the xbox 360 controller, i couldn't use it without installing that driver.
