N64 video SFX? Can it happen? has it happend?

Hi, i'm just wondering if anyone will get a video plugin that will emulate all the N64 SFX features... i LOVE perfect dark, but a lot of video problems come up.

I'm using PJ64 1.6 w/ the jabo 1.6 video plugin. The IR viewer, nightvision, sun effects and other things of this nature don't work right (and you need some of these things to work to progress)

Is there a plugin that will do this? will there ever be? is it futile to even ask...?

Two years ago, you could basically only use Jabo's plugin for this game since the others did not support the game. Now, a lot of plugins support the game pretty well.

Support for this game's numerous effects is improving all the time. Jabo's D3D8 1.6 supports almost all the effects now, but they are not all supported (coronas, IE Scanner, the sky). Glide64 supports IR Scanner and partial support for coronas if you use a Voodoo. For a game that has pretty much the most complex effects on the N64, it's actually running fairly well.

oh i know it works well, i'm able to run it in 1024 w/ 2x aa and 8x af on my measly 5700 LE.... i'm just hoping for perfection (well perfection being exact same as playing the N64 but w/ AA and AF.... and higher res... and greater bit depth...)

oh well, i'll just remain patient, we waited how long for PJ64 to go from 1.5 to 1.6? it was worth the wait
