N64 Diagonals

I just recently discovered that there are some (or at there's one) close-to-perfect emulators... Take a wild guess which one... :pj64: Anyhow it runs just about any Rom I throw at it, including Bond which is a definite + as that's the best game on the N64. The only problem is, when I use my USB controller for bond, it totally sucks, the control pad is super-sensitive because there's no diagonals, just left, right, up, and down. It works a little better on the keyboard, but I think we'd all agree it works BEST on an N64 controller. Anyhow, my question is this, does anyone know of anything, emulator/controler/software, that will allow me to play with diagonals?

One other thing, since I've got your attention. Forgive me if this is a stupid question but is there a way you could burn ROMS (not necessarily N64 ones) onto a CD with an emulator, and get it to work in, say, a dreamcast? Anyhow, thanks for your time!

I'm not sure about the diagnals, but you can burn roms onto a cd with an emulator to work in a dreamcast. You just have to burn it a special way and have to have a special emulator that works on the dc.

Yea I know you can hook an N64 controller in, but are there any emulators that would recognize the joystick having 8 directions instead of just 4???

eh? analogue controllers have two axes, no more, no less. a diagonal is just a certain amount of both. If you're finding PJ doesn't recognise diagonals, something is funny with your setup... when assigning up/down/left/right, are you sure you pushed the stick cleanly in the right direction each time? because you certainly don't need a real N64 controller for circular motion, although it may not be totally accurate without one (the real N64 area is between a square and an octogon, i don't know the mathematical term, but i could draw it :p), it can be more than good enough.

well.... I do kinda have a crappy controller..... I thought this was the problem though... Bond works so horribly with my controller... I guess it's sorta because my joystick doesn't like to stay in one direction like the N64 one... It's almost like it's hyper-sensitive... ???
