Me and a few buddies are in the process of moding Mario Sunshine from the Dolphin emulator. We have found rippers such as theplay for thp, szsveiw for szs and IfanVeiw for the extracted and then converted dds. I have a list of files i want to know about. When I search I don’t know if what they tell me is accurate. Otherwise I will get eleven hundred results. I just need to know what they are and what to extract or edit them with.

.bck
.bmg
.bmt
.brk
.col
.dol
.hdr
.jpa
.ldr
.rarc
.szs
.toc

Again just tell me what they are for and were to get software to unpack or edit them. I would really appreciate it.:p

Here is what I know, off the top of my head...

.rarc is an archive file, sometimes compressed
.szs is also an archive, also compressed. Compression is yaz0 in SMS. Use http://www.amnoid.de/gc/szstools.zip for ripping/dumping the contents of these two files.
.bmg is messages/subtitles.
.bck are animation files (for 3D Models).
.col are collision detection files, generally used for levels/maps.
.jpa ? texture format ?

.toc - table of contents, a little lsit what for files are used to make a gcm, the devs forget about it, because they thought a gcm could never be ripped (try to open it with a text editor),
.dol - Gamecube executabel format (try it in the emu),
the others I don't know atm.
