mY speed is slow on Smash Bros.

Ok, When I run Super Smash Bros on PJ64 1.6, my speed really decresses in the multiplayer modes and some in the 1P mode. I tried doing some of the speed helps in the FAQ which helped only a little. Sometimes the slowdown is so much that, the game just hangs for about 2 seconds before resuming. I'm not sure if it's my Hardware or the ROM itself.

Here are my PC specs:

P4 1.5GHz
256MB RAM
nVidia Riva TNT 2 M64 32MB
Windows XP Home SP1

Now, I know that I meet the recomended system requirements for PJ64, but...:angry:

If there are some posible speed boost options that I don't know of, please share your opinions. :nuke:

You might want to switch to Jabo's Direct3D6 plugin if you aren't using it already.

Or try 1964.

Don't limit the fps in the pj64 options/ settings

While PJ64 shines for CBFD and some other games, just use 1964 for Smash. I find it works much better, using Jabo's plugins and such.

hey. . .don't know if this works better or what, but try setting the counter factor to 3. . .heh. . .

dont feel bad, i have tha problem with every game! & the audio jumps too!
this is a good emu, but it seems to need some work.

Try going into graphics options and setting the windowed resolution smaller, that worked great for me.
