2001 Ford Taurus SES. Great car; power everything, sunroof, and adjustable pedals (w00t). A midsize, 4-door sedan that contrasts well with my bright red Grand Am coupe (which I still own).

A shot of it on the dealer's lot

Hybrid cars are actualy a pretty good deal right now if you live in the US, manufacturers sell them at a loss in fact. Currently, car manufacturers are required to sell a certain percentage of highly fuel efficient cars for every gas guzzler they sell here (the percentage increases every year), so in order to sell their gas guzzling SUVs, they MUST sell some of the hybrid cars.

Since the hybrid cars aren't in very high demand, naturaly the price must be low for them to sell. I know that toyota takes a $10k hit for every prius they sell. Not only that, but they also give them a FULL (bumper to bumper) 6 year warranty. If I had $20k to spend on a car, I would definitely get one...with 55 miles to the gallon, you can't lose, not to mention that even the brakes generate extra electricity when applied, and no energy is wasted to start the car.

Not to mention that also in the US, you can be elegible for up to a $2000 tax deduction for buying a hybrid car.

All new cars look shite. The new Fords, the new Renaults, the new Nissans and pretty much everything else. Never mind, hopefully these new cars will die out very soon.

Can I see a pic of your Grand Am Coup? What year?

I just bought last week a 2000 Grand Am GT Coup. 175 horses, 6 cylinder, 3.4 Liter...it's going to be a real fun car to drive. It looks sweet too, it's black, and it's got all the extras. 40,000 miles on it, I got it for 13,000 with tax, inspection, registration, & a warranty to 75,000/3 years. It was cheap it insure, too.

I don't have a picture of my specific vehicle, but it looks identical to the one below. 1996, bright red with a black interior, 2.4L twin-cam 4-cylinder (~150 HP). Light on options, but it's been a real trooper the 5+ years that I've owned it. Currently 134,000 miles and still running beautifully. Still looks great too. I just couldn't part with it when I bought the Taurus. :)
