Mupen 0.4 under Linux and Zelda OoT

Hello.
Is there anyone out there who have made Zelda OoT running flawless?
My current problem is:
The spinning "N" int the beginning does not just look right, and I can't read any ingame text (menu works fine) becouse it is black often over black fields. The rest looks fine thou...
However if I turn on "Normal Combiner" in my gfx-plugin the spinning N gets right, but the rest of the game got serious problems with layering....
What should I do! Rearrange settings? Try another plugin (and in that case: which)?

My plugin configuration is:
core: Mupen 0.4
gfx: Rice's Deadalus 5.2.0
Audio: JttL SDL plugin 1.2
input: blights SDL input plugin 0.0.8-b
RSP: Hacktaruz/Azimer hle rsp plugin

I've tried running Zelda on Mupen and the polygons are completely black. And my sound is messed up. Am I using a hacked ROM, or is there something wrong with my plugins?

Please note that my Apple System Profiler says I have ATI Rage Pro, Rage 128 and three Radeon with different numbers.

I just realized that people wouldn't know that I'm running Mac OS X. Sorry I forgot to mention that.

Well... if your video card is based on a rage pro, i think you'll have no luck with n64 emulation. It doesn't have enough features to emulate multitexturing correctly.

No, I had that card in the past, too.
It's supports enough for N64 emulation.
I played a lot of N64 games with it, including Zelda OoT ;).
