Hi guys,

I got a MS-6378 (motherboard) with the spec you will find in my sign, Today i installed PCAlert 4 that came with my pc (but i never used it before)

Now it give me a warning about a too high voltage (hmm I wonder who uses that voltage HD ? CD-rom? )

Could this explain my PC crashes?

My pc usely crashes when:

Network traffic is too heavy (180+ kb/s) for long time (15+ min)
After doing normal desktop publishing (after 50 min)

* this pc is also used as a Server

Well, PCAlert seems to be using the upper limit as 5% over, but from my experience, within 10% is normally OK. I've seen the +12V lines go up to 13.3 and still be stable. Some of your peripherals might not like it, but I don't think its a problem...

So i don't have to worry?

But just I will do a check on the ram
Nah, the voltage hovers around 12.7 all the time for me. No worries. The 3.3V and 5V lines are far more important.

Just find out than i can "drag" those blue [O] things above the meters, that way i can adjust the tolerance :)

So i guess no worry's and it time to do some other checks my my pc locks up
