mpg, avi question

is there a program that can split mpg, avi, and other video files. Like so i can take an 80 minute movie, and split it into two 40 minute movies? either for windows or linux. thanks

Im not sure, maybe DIVX can do that?

Yes there is. As always, I recommend the great and free program VirtualDub, grab it at www.virtualdub.org
