More site updates
I hope you enjoy me keeping you updated about what's happening at the site as much as I enjoy improving the site.

Anyway, first of all, I've fixed a major pain-in-the-a*se bug that's been present since we started using the new design. It screwed up the "who is online" list at EmuTalk and if you visited Emu64 before EmuTalk you wouldn't see all new posts since your last visit. Anyhow, that's been fixed.

With this fixed, I was able to create a login box on the top right. If you are already an EmuTalk member, you can login there with your username and password. Once logged in, you will see new posts, threads and private messages at EmuTalk since your last visit. Emulation64 uses the EmuTalk database as user database, and it's quite nifty.

Another thing I would like to bring to your attention is Emulation64 Lite, which is a news-only version of the site, and could be useful if you're on a slow connection and are just looking for the latest news. Thanks for the tip, Azimer.

I might create a third version of the site, which offers all the features that you're seing at Emulation64, but with a layout that's easier on your connection. Another tip came from SJR, which is to use either Phoenix or Opera as opposed to Internet Explorer, appearantly due to IE's slow layout engine. Update: I've just tried Phoenix and the difference is HUGE. *slaps IE*

Comments? Ideas? We'd love to hear from you.
I hope you enjoy me keeping you updated about what's happening at the site as much as I enjoy improving the site.
