Modified GFX-Driver experiences

Hhm... there are so many modified gfx drivers out there, but mostly no changes text, only some comments like "we try to enhance the quality"...
Any good/bad experiences with modified driver?

I use the Xtreme-G drivers for my Geforce 6800. The image quality might be better (haven't payed enough attention), and I get a couple more 3Dmarks. This may also be because the drivers are also unofficial leaked drivers (nvidia.com will give you ver 71.89, I use 76.50). As for stability, I haven't had any crashes or messed up visuals, so I would give it a try.
