missing sprites

I just got project 64, newest version, no changes in settings, good machine, etc. I started emulating Zelda OT and half of link was missing and half of the horse (the central body part). To make sure it wasnt a bad rom, i tried a different rom for same game, and got same problem. Tried a different game and i still got some sprites just plain missing (invisible?).

What is going on???

Download another graphics plugin from the N64 plugin forum, extract the file to the Plugins folder, and set up the new plugin in PJ64.

found something weird- on the direct X diagnostic, Direct 3D 7 didnt work (8+9 did). Could that be part of the problem

No, I said video drivers. You can download new, custom hacked GREAT Omega Drivers from www.omegadrivers.net.

For the video plugins, you must go to Options --> Settings. Change the plugin in the dialog box. When you are done, click OK, and go to Options --> Configure Graphics Plugin to change the settings.

I like using Glide64 with Hacktarux's glide wrapper.

sorry, rock, i was talking about an earlier suggestion to put in a different video plugin, but thanks anyway.

Which leads to another problem.
I go to the options and it says it cant read the plugins i put in. However, i notice there are several other plugins already included (as part of the project64). So i switch it from 3D8 to 3D6, which makes the missing parts appear! And the parts that were there disapear!
