ok i know i should upgrade to v 1.6 but each time i try to download it it doesn't work. So now i'm faced with the issue that 1.5 has no sound what so ever and i just recently started playing a few roms too. (though i wish there was a translation program for PJ64, but that's a thought for later) right now I'm working on Robotech: crystal dreams and Harvest Moon64. But with any game i use, there's no sound at all. can anyone advise me on this issue?:pj64:

update to 1.6 and we'll work on whats wrong with that.

1.5 is not supported as is indicated on the download page.

The 6th release of Project64. Thanks Witten for his help with this version.
Sorry we no longer support this version, it is kept here mainly for anyone interested in our history, or in the rare case it may run better for some games/systems.
(recommended for experienced users or as directed only!).

update to 1.6 and we can work on the problem your having with it.

I'd love to upgrade to v 1.6 but each time i download the file from PJ64's main page it doesn't do the setup for it at all. can you advise me as to what i should do? I get this message when trying to setup the file:

Error reading setup initialization file

Would the issue be with Win xp pro? I've got this comp setup to cruise through just about any game system and platform emu, and i do like and enjoy Project64.

I finally managed to pick up the newer version of PJ64 (I believe it was vers. 1.6) and now got a new issue, it saysthat my roms are compatable some slow (ie. Shadowgate64) and all the other ones say compatable, but transformers beast wars reads as issues:plugins. however that's not my bigger issue, with two games i'm currently working on I run into a snag with the one where it freezes durring game play now and i've been playing the game for three days and it's been fine (Harvest Moon64 is the game that freezes up) and in the other (Starcraft) there's alot of ghosting and other techy flaws, mostly visual errors for that and the keyboard controls are way too touchy so i can't lock onto an area unless i spend 30 min on trying to line things up perfectly. got any suggestions?

hmm hard to explain, Celeron (R) CPU 2.40 GHz, 768MB RAM, RAEDEON 9200, Windows XP pro home edition, and a new motherboard and harddrive (which apparently is supposed to be a 60 gig Harddrive but reads 74.5GB)... everything was working before and i have played the game for hours with the old version of PJ64, i didn't have any issues until recently (with the exception of not having sound with the old version for some games like harvest Moon 64)
