Missing graphics problems

My specs are the following:

AMD 750mhz
Geforce 2 mx 200
88mb RAM
WIN98SE
DirectX 9.0c

Games run at great (normal) speed always and graphics and sounds are otherwise absolutely flawless elsewhere

The problem that I'm experiencing is the one that can be observed in the pic that I attach to this message. It's surely something common to you, what is the name of the problem or the graphic proccess that corresponds to this, and how do I solve the problem? :
(thank you in advance for your help)

Try switching your graphics plugin to Jabo's D3D6 1.5.2. I don't think the Geforce 2 MX can do D3D8.

Actually I was using D3D6, I switched to D3D8 and now, checking the "Use Direct 3D transformation pipeline" box I obtained a nearly flawless rendering of all the graphics in most games. Now I'm experiencing two different problems with D3D8:

1. Because the emu is rendering all the types of graphics now, my speed has suffered a little bit, and if I can have those points of speed back I'll be the happiest man ever

2. Mario Party looks like this with Direct 3D transformation pipeline!!!!! (the boards look as if they were being played with the "Overwiew" mode that you activate with the R button when you want to take a look at the whole map):
I've tried tweaking the settings in all the senses but it's either: have missing graphics everywhere, or have all the graphics produced with the "Use Direct 3D transformation pipeline" box checked but in exchange play like this!!!!!! (I feel as if I was playing Monopoly ;( )

erm probably a driver problem, which drivers do you have installed for the GF2MX200?

what do you get if you "disable internal geometry" (the equivalent) in the v1.5.2 plugin - ?

(it won't work properly, because you need the internal geometry engine in any ver of the plugin, i'm just curious what's going on).

1.I just updated my drivers, I was using a prior version in some manner but this apparently didn't affect the emulation anywhere.

2. With 1.5.2 + disable internal geometry I got the same thing (overview map but this time without the blue - red dots, and with missing graphics too in some areas, unlike with "direct 3D transformation pipeline" which got the same map error but all the graphics).

3. Also, D3D6 makes my game run at normal speed, while D3D8 causes a decrease in the emulation speed that I'd really like to take care of if there exists the possibility.

Please help ,( ; ; T_T

i'm guessing (not yet tested) is that this is a driver issue that affects Jabo's video on:
all Nvidia cards on AMD* CPUs without SSE
*may just be any CPU without SSE, but Intel included SSE earlier so it's less likely that an Intel system w/o SSE will be fast enough anyway... if anyone else has an early Athlon w/o SSE please let us know if you're affected by this problem.

I want to express my gratitude. Thanks infinitely for your time and for your disposition to help people. It must take a lot of knowledge in many areas to be able to deduce the problem starting with just some details (or maybe just intelligence). I read other posts and saw your level of capacity, and decided to post my problem with the emu, but I never thought that with this I would also solve my problem with the videocard.
Once again, thank you.

you're welcome: 64ultramaniac (SGi) did the grunt work on this one, so thank him :)
i'll have to put a note in the docs somewhere about this...

I have the same problem with a 700mhz Duron processor. Do you think that this problem will be fixed in the next Nvidia driver version?

i would say its unlikely. for a start, someone may need to report this to nVidia. but this would be low priority for them.

long term i would suggest upgrading to a processor with SSE (i think every AMD CPU >1Ghz has it?)... also PJ64 benefits quite a bit from it.
