Microsoft sidewinder gamepad

I'm having a really annoying problem. Chankast will only recognize the pad on my MS sidewinder gamepad as an analog stick. I wouldn't mind, c'ept for ikaragua only allows you to control with the dpad and not analog stick. I've already set it in the drivers to act as a normal d pad, and windows is showing me that it's acting like that (instead of smooth gliding it's jumping around) but the emu won't let me bind the dpad to anything other than analog axis.

Any help?

Yes.

The ElSemi one won't even recognize my gamepad. It only lets me bind the keyboard.

I have the ms sidewinder gamepad aswell,it works fine with the elsemis plug-in enabled and it does'nt give me any problems in Ikaruga but if i have my input plug-in set to xxx it does'nt respond, only the the start button works, but the sidewinder comes set with default settings in chanaka, dunno how that came to be but i like it,i also have 2 more gamepads, one is a generic piece of junk and the other is a serial interact propad 6 gamepad ,yeah,i know,it's not usb but it works great with fighting games at it's 8 way axis, way better than my ms sidewinder gamepad at 4 way axis, frigg'n pad only moves up,down, left, right, eww how gross!! :0)
lol!!
