Merge Multiple Install CD to ONE DVD

Hey, have a lot of games with multiple Install CD and I really prefer a quick 1 DVD installation...
I know there were some ways to merge the install CDs of FarCry to a DVD and probably it will work with some other games, too?
Or was it just because there was a DVD version, too?
I don't need a exact copy of my originals, means I can insert the game cd for playing the game, but for the installation I want to have a nice DVD...
Is there any way to create such a install DVD?

Some games allow you to dump all the files into a single folder and install like that, while other games look for folders on the DVD version labeled something like CD1 - CD## or DISC1 - DISC##. I'd try copying all the files into a single folder (where the install data is on the first cd would be a good place to start) and see if it'll let you.

?????????????????????????
Otherwise I suppose you can create an iso of all your discs and put them on the disc as a second option.

Mmh... the prob of making an iso of each file is, that I have to mount them while installing, too...
I would like to have a complete setup.
The CD1-CD# method should work with games like farcry, because my retail DVD version already have such an structur. But I don't think that it will work with "normal" games... any other idea?

Did you try dumping all the install data files into the same folder as is on the CD1 of the installation? It might work - I'll try with UT2003 when I get home & let you know how it goes.

I think the only issue you may have is it changes from game to game as to how to do this. There may be some multiple CD games that require the disc to have a certain volume label. While others may have compressed files of the same name on each CD, but contain different files so you can't really mix them together.

just some thoughts on it. I would possible google each game individually and see if someone has possibly made instructions for each one?
