This is with new radeon drivers. Also tried diff Jabo plugins. Can't seem to fix it. Anyone have any suggestions of how to fix this? Standing still its like what you see. Running is still around 60 FPS. Turning is SLOW SLOW SLOW and fights sucks......

Thanks

That link isn't working, so I can't see exactly what your problem is.

To attach a picture to your post, ensure it's not too big and that it's in Jpeg format, then simply go to where it says, attach file, browse then choose the Jpeg of your choice via the standard Windows selection browser.

The slow turning is the game's problem.
What you see in the sky...switch jabo plugin. It's either 6 or 7 that causes them, for what I know.

And, yes, fighting sucks in that game!

The link works fine with me... maybe it was just your browser or something... I dunno... sometimes I can't even look around the forums here or post new things because it locks up or something....I come back later and I can post lol

Anyways switching the plugins did not fix the problem. I am at the first Boss fight with that Green dude and IT SUCKS THE FPS DROPS BAD MY GOD... anyway I am lost I don't know what to do about it....

Anything in the making on PJ-64 that will fix some of this???

Or is Megaman a lost cause for me? :(

Sniff... I really liked it too :(

Thanks for help

Well, the board is mostly busy nowadays, so...
Anyway, there's absolutely something strange here since your fps drops.

Have you framebuffer enabled?

Frame Buffer emulation NONE

Force Depth Compare on

Force Depth Enable off

Force normal Blending

I have no clue what those do except this

For mega man I have to turn Force Normal Blending on to see inside dungeons and such..... When I get back outside I have to turn it off or all the stupid textures are transparent.

I am not a n00b to emulators but I am a n00b to PJ64... so far it is the only N64 Emulator that runs games fairly good on my PC

So what should I do? :(

Thanks for replying btw

Here is something strange.

I played MEga man with Nemu and although it wont load most graphics or text or anything else it did not have that frames go down alot when you turn and the music and stuff did not Skip with the frames...... Wierd aint it?

Now if only PJ64 could run it like that but WITH the textures.... I would like to see the dungeons as they are on Nemu .... unlike PJ64 where you have to turn on an option that makes then transparent lol

Heh, well, Jabo couldn't fix everything. Besdies, glide64 has this solved as well.
But we do know that this is pj releated at least.
Have you tried 1964?

I really have no idea how to set up 1964.

This Glide64 thing you are talking about. Is this an emu or a plugin? If its a plugin that will work for PJ64 then please tell me where I could get the latest one :)

Thanks for your help

Nevermind...... I have a Radeon 7500 not a Voodoo so the Glide thing wont work SIGH!!!

1964 emulates Megaman about 10 times worse than PJ64

Am I missing something? Is there not a vid plugin out there that supports Megaman? So far PJ64 runs it ok... no luck with TR64 or NEMU or 1964........

I don't know what else to do........ unless there are vid plugins that I don't know how to make work for PJ64

Hey I just downloaded and run the Goodwindows program. I have no clue what I am looking for. Would be easy if it just told you GOOD or BAD... anyways here is what was said in the .txt documents that were not telling me.. WOOHOO you have one of blah blah games......

"1bfc71f0 b57dd0e4 Mega_Man_64_(U)_[!] (L-33554432)",

So does that meen good or bad?? I don't understand the program as I have stated in what I thought was the right page on these forums... See General topics

Thanks for your help

I do remember some graphics problems, but, they were just general problems... Speed was OK on my Pentium 3 900 mhz, nice, steady 60 fps.

As for GoodWindows and GoodN64, just set it to rename the roms (you'll see it and hit your head againts the wall if you find out how to use it [it's so easy ;)]) If it winds up with a [!] after the rename then the rom is a "good dump" If it's not, then, you'll have to download another rom and hope it's good. One thing you don't want to do (just reminding you if you know) is ask anyone here or contact them in any way asking them for roms, that's completely againts the rules.

Other than that, keep posting and I'll check out the game on my end. (yes, I have it)

*My Personal Opinion on MegaMan 64*
The game is crap on the N64, really. If you're going to play Mega Man Legends, might as well do it on the original console (PSX)

Ok according to windows thing it is a good rom.

Have you seen the picture of the problem I am having? I posted it at the top.

Ever emulator that I could get to open up MM 64 shows the same wierd sky lines.

If it is a good rom then whats the problem?

I have a good comp and the latest drivers

Thanks for help
