I can run it just fine but it is slow...whats going on ? It is in .CDI:plain:

Also Cannon Spike which I cannot run it at all! It is also in .CDI and both are perfect full rips.

I tried both on capcom hack..doesnt worked. Marvel vs capcom 2 with capcom hacks crashed while capcom logo.

Sorry about the english because I typed too quickly.

My specs are below

Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 works fine here. As for Cannon Spike, it has emulation bugs like crashes and such IIRC.

about under 7 fps. The swirl is blue on the dreamcast. I use Chankast alpha 25

and Cannon Spike still wont run this at all. After blue swirl then grey screen, thats it. The fps remain freezed at 62 fps.

That is really slow. Just out of curiosity: have you had any luck with other games, or do all games exhibit weird behavior and/or slowdown?

Then again, the culprit might be the fact that you have a GeForce 4 MX 420, which lacks vertex and pixel shaders. It's a card for very low-end systems and quite frankly, I don't even understand why you have such a card on an otherwise fast P4 system.

Thats why I want to run Cannon Spike to see whats the difference on this emulator alpha 25..what do I need to check mark or uncheck mark or something like that ? Thanks.

Well, Capcom hack would be the first. The rest... I don't know. If you see sprite priority errors or transparency errors, fiddle with ZWrite and AlphaTest ZWrite settings.

hmmm..mvsc2 runs 30 - 40 fps on my celeron 2.4ghz,256ram,Geforce2 on the lowest settings w/capcom hack and underlocked to 90 and i use chankast 0.2a for cannon spike:( .....its wierd that you get that results in your fast comp.:plain:

What's with people wanting to play crappy 2D beat 'em ups - they're just button mashers.
Hardly.

You've just insulted a lot of people who love 2D fighters with that post, including myself.

Yeah I'm "showing you the light" as it were.

Can you honestly say these 2D beat 'em ups have anywhere near the depth and fluidity of Soul Calibur.

Yes, Guilty Gear XX, Street Fighter III or Last Blade 2 for example.

Can you enlighten me how exactly they are then?

I guess if you enjoy them fair enough, I just don't understand it myself.

It's just moving left and right mashing buttons until the character by chance does some "super move" and kicks the shit out of the other guy, but you don't feel satisfied at all because it didn't require any real skill. The button combinations to do the decent moves are usually ridiculous and a chore to memorise if you're sad enough to try - well that's as far as I can tell.

Playing a lot of the 2d beat em ups you will do quite well if you are a button masher playing against an unskilled oponent. Play someone with skills however and you will be destroyed :) There is plenty of scope in most of the good games to place a wide chasm between the unskilled and the skilled.

how dare you man, I play 2d fighting games not to broke my controller but to understand their systems and fighting engines for example is that capcom, snk and sammy have different fighting engines and combo systems those things amazes me and makes me want to learn it:batman:

2d fighting games are completely different with 3d ones if you are going to base in fluidity

Rockmangames, i think your slow down may be due to low ram. But before going into run>msconfig>startup, or hitting ctl alt del, and shutting down processes, I would check the direct-3d settings on the video card to make sure things like anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering are disabled/application controlled. also, i would set texture preference and mip-map detail to high performace/lowest setting (NOT high quality). i have an ATI card, so i'm not sure if its worded different on your card.

also, how big is your hard drive? last time you defrag? is it partitioned?

then, check for spyware, clean internet cache, etc.

btw, Two words for Kratos777: sentimental value....

I am also getting approximately 30 FPS, basically, the game runs like Dhalsim vs Dhalsim in SFII. It's really boring.

Yes, Capcom hack is on, and I've messed with the +/- thing to various extremeties with no results.
