EDIT: As soon as i posted this, the ground started shaking. Wow, that was scary, hope there isn't some kind of replica in the night...

It's true that Mars was at it's closest earlier today but it's not like it's moving away that quick because it was probaly as close yesterday as it will be tomorrow and so on... We probaly have a couple of weeks until the effect starts wearing off...

Yes you're right. But today was the closest point and by the days it will slowly get farther. And i wanted to give some emotion to the subject
