Mario Kart - Luigi Raceway and Wario Stadium (Video Screens)

Is there any news when the video screens on Luigi Raceway and Wario Stadium will be implemented or is it a video plugin thing? I just feel this is about the only thing missing from the game. It's just almost so complete. I'm kind of guessing it probably sucks loads of CPU tho.

i think the plugin needs to have frame buffer emulation in order to display these screens

You will note that this is running at 18v/i a second. This is not pleasant. The framebuffer emulation in mariokart constantly reads and writes to the frame buffer for no reason, resulting in what can only be called bad performance. This was taken using .99 beta, with Rice's 5.20.

Glide64 0.5 option "read at every frame" is pretty much equal to my plugin option "Complete" frame buffer emulating. I just tried glide64 0.5, on my Geforce 2 MX400, it is very slow and have graphic problems on the Mario Kart TV. I wonder if it works faster and better on real voodoo cards.

I don't have VI count though since 1964 does not update VI counts in "Full screen" mode.

Wow, i wasn't expecting replies so quickly. This thread is probably the most largest thread i've achieved to start.

I thought the TV screens would eat a lot of time, why does it require lots of power, is it like an overlay? Sorry not the best technical minded person in the world. I don't have a clue what frame-buffers apart from some filtering, i think.

If you're using eVoodoo (which I'm guessing you are), unchecking 'Fullscreen' in the eVoodoo Control Panel will keep it in the 1964 window. It'll still want you to go to fullscreen, but you won't when you try...
