Mario Kart 64 Problems

Greetings,

I'm using version 1.4 of Project 64, and when I try to run Mario Kart, it works perfectly fine until I actually get to the actual race. Jump, left and right all work fine, but it will not go forward or back. Not sure if it is a problem with the rom or with my input settings. Using Jabos plug-in v1.4 for controller. Any ideas on what is wrong?

why are you not using the newest version of pj64? 1.5 has been out for a while. Try that and check back. Also, make sure its a agood rom with goodn64 or something like that. Maybe theres a reason your using 1.4. I dont know tho

Eh...are you sure you're driving RIGHT?! You don't go forward with the forward button! You use the A button to accelerate.
Hold B and back to back your car.

I'v got mario kart 64 and it works fine exept when I go to the starting line, it just crashes, then i always have to restart my computer.this is the same thing that happens to all my other game. dose any one hav an answer to this problem.
