Didn't you know? That is the goal of the MAME project: make it require as much CPU as possible. It's MAME that drives the PC market, not any of those other games you may have heard about. I predict by 0.7 Pac-Man will require 1 GHz.

It actually runs pretty nice on my system. What i think is that CpU's i810 sucks at opengl so mame refers to MS's generic software OGL.
