Malfunctioning USB Disk

A while back I purchased a 256 MB Lexar "secure" Jumpdrive. It wa great for a while, but about a week ago, I accidentally left it in my Windows 98 piece of junk while restarting. After the restart it wouldn't recognize the the disk and classified it as an "Unknown USB Device".

Since then I've tried getting it to work on several other PC's. On PC with Windows XP it said that it found the disk, but when I opened the Properties it said 0 bytes of 0 bytes used, and would not let me save anything to the disk, saying that "The drive letter is invalid".

I paid a lot for this thing and wouldn't you know it, it's just out of warranty.

If someone could help me out with this it would be awesome.

Unplug the USB disk drive, then plug it back in again. Reason: Probably requires a USB device reset.

try formating it

The only problem is it says the disk drive is invalid whenever I try to access it.

Unplug the USB disk drive, then plug it back in again. Reason: Probably requires a USB device reset.

Tried that already, it just auto-selected it as an "Unknown USB device"

Thanks anyways
