I've searched the whole forum already, and read all of the troubleshooting guides and so forth...

I checked the rom using goodwindows and goodN64, and it's fine, it has the [!] and everything...the game runs fine, but every so often, it gets the "Access Violation: While processing graphics data an exception occured. you may need to restart the emulator"

My system specs are as follows:

Intel Celeron M processor
1400MHz
1.40 GHz, 480MB of RAM

I downloaded and unzipped all of the graphics plugins and put them in the plugins folder...I don't know what else to do. The problem doesn't stop me from playing the game entirely, it's just annoying to have the game freeze every couple minutes and have to press enter to keep going.

Your laptop's integrated graphics chip is most likely the culprit. Try updating its drivers, or play PJ64 on a desktop computer than has an adequate video card.

Believe it or not....I just came to the site because I'm having the same problem..... I would like to let you know, it's not because of your graphics card.... It actually has to do with the controller plugin. I was half way complete with the game, when I decided to try to use N-Rage's Direct-Input8 V2.1.80a controller plugin, and then I started getting this problem. I tried switching back to Jabo's plugin, and the problem continues.

It's strange. Any help?

that doesn't proove its the input plugin causing the errors, although its an interesting idea, i think more likely coincidence.
general tips on AVs here http://www.pj64.net/main/support/manual/troubleshooting.html#411

Bug Killer
i have an integrated graphics card
i get that error sometimes (like once in 20 times i start the emulator)
what i do is just close the emulator and reopen it
maybe u have a wrong configuration, or using an unnadecuated plugin
i use the Jabo's Direct3D 8.1.6 (PJ64 1.6's default)

if you start getting rom code errors, simply save the game to a native save state, and then restart the rom. load the native state and continue playing,

as smiff has said before, save states can save the modified and or damaged code so using a native save state loads its fresh without any errors

the problem is the video chip and the Dx8 plugin, switch back to the Dx6 plugin.

most onboard chips only do DirectX 7 (fixed function) although there are some newer intel chips that have vertext shader 2.0... but not hardware pixel shader...
