k, i just got halo PC and i wanted to play over the internet against my friend, so i dl'ed the trial for him to make sure everything was right before he bought a copy and it didn't work on his Gateway, even tho it meets requirements. so i found out about halo Mac and i need to know how to tell him to figure out his system specs (he has an iMac too) to see if that'll work so we can have halo enrichment (yes Halo PC and Halo Mac are online compatible with each other)

Microsoft never made Halo for Mac. Halo on Mac is an unoffical hack made by a warez group. I suggest you DO NOT talk about it on here. Plus, an iMac is uber old, and there's liek no way it wuld run more than likely. I heard the Halo for Mac hack was also for OSX only.

2. i'd hardly classify macsoft, a gigantic multi-million dollar company that publishes mac software (MS Office for Mac, Halo Mac, amongst others) as a warez group
3. i checked his specs and they SURPASS that of halo mac, iMacs are a fairly new advent since they use G4 Processors
4. if you don't have anything true to say, just shut up

EDIT: might i also add the MS had ABSOLUTELY NO INPUT in Halo, it was completely developed by Bungie, MS just publishes it for PC and Xbox, Macsoft publishes for Mac OSX, Gearbox Software ported it to PC, Destineer ported it to OSX

You sure? A patch wouldn't be illegal, but distributing the entire game modified to run on OSX would be.
Either way I guess we'd be ok to talk about it.

Of course distributing the entire game would be illegal. What would not be is distributing a binary that does the same thing as the windows version.
