I have an .img file MVC2 size is 742,654KB. I try try to play it in Chankast and it comes up as a music disc. I tried to convert it to .iso and it still came up as a music disc. I also have a small mvc2.ccd file that's like 2kb that came with it (not sure what that is?)

What do I need to do to get this .img to run on Chankast? It's driving me nuts!!! I own a real DC and like 50 games but I ran out of inputs on my TV and can't use it anymore and found this awesome emulator

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! I'm kinda new to this so am not familiar with the file types and self booting disks and all that stuff....... :p

The smaller ccd file is an indication that this is a Clone CD file. Are you trying to mount the img or ccd file? It's possible that the ccd file may need to be edited slightly to point to the actual location on your hard drive that the img file is located (rather than the location on the person's pc that created the file), since you and that person most likely do not have the files in the same location. To edit the ccd file open it with notepad and change the text in quotes to read the directory of where thses two files are. (EG: C:\game directory). Then use your mounting tool to mount the ccd file (if your virtual drive supports clone cd image files) and then config Chankast to use the drive letter of your virtual drive as a cd drive. Otherwise, download a copy of Clone CD and burn the image with that app and then run that CD backup copy in your PC CD/DVD drive and see if it still comes up as an audio cd. If it does, chances are it's not self bootable, and you will need a copy of the Utopia boot disc to run it.

Wow weird

I loaded the .ccd file instead and it worked!!!!! but the ccd file is like 2kb?? How is that possible? My SF3Double Impact .img gets to the Capcom intro screen then goes back to the default DC screen with the time, vms, etc. configurations

A ccd is like a cue sheet for the img file. it holds the information for the tracks and sub channel data (when used). always use the ccd that comes with an img file.
