That's what I thought you were trying to get at. I'd just like to point out that it's not neccessarily true. The 'power' of the xbox and the gc are almost the same. The xbox is better in some says and the gc is better in other ways.
And as for saying that all the xbox needs is developer and consumer support to be standard, all I can say is 'umm..duh'. That's what any console needs. If the Atari still had complete developer and consumer support it would be the standard, but its not. Please stop acting like the xbox is a godsend for the consoles market. You can't expect developers and consumers to support a console just because it has 733 MHz, and you say that it has more powerful hardware. It doesn't have more powerful hardware, get over it.

I think it would be cool if M$ took over eveything, even though I'd try to not support it, nor would I evey be one of their fanboys. There's just something about them taking over it all that sounds cool to me. You know, kinda like in lots of futuristic movies. And in Resident Evil (Umbrela Corp

I personaly don't like the X-box that much, it just looks too big, it reminds be of a giant clunky robot... the way it'd look if I tried to build it. I would think with the price they have attached to it that the parts would be specially made to be compact lightweight and quite. I don't know if the X-box is quite, but I do know it's not small or light.
I currently have a GameCube, but I'm not in a situation where I can play anything multi-player, so for now it's kinda boring. But games do make the system and thay ARE great games around the corner. Nintendo is well known for their games, so I went for them. But PS2 is such a great system, Playstation always has been. They always have great games _eventually_, they seem to be in their prime currently, and with backwards compatiability I can eaisly understand why it's doing so well.
But Xbox is amercian, and computer based, getting forin support will be really difficult, I'm not even aware if M$ is tring to get forin support, specfically Japan, if they can, they may just have it made ... eventually.

I can't understand why you would want MS to take over everything. Competition is needed for people to keep making the best proucts they can. Without competition there is no need for anything to get better.
