Hi.
I've searched around the internet (as well as these forums) to find a way to artificially "replace" the music in an N64 ROM. To my understanding, it's essentially impossible to just inject music into a ROM. The only lead I've found is a modified version of Azimer's HLE Audio plugin that acts as a kind of proof of concept to replace OoT's music.
But what I want to explore is the possibility of a standalone program that has tracks preloaded into it and it loads specific tracks based on your location in the game.
I want to use Majora's Mask for example. I would need to write a program that somehow reads the game's memory and loads the replacement tracks that way.
Does anyone know how I should approach this and would it even be possible?
