Load/Save pic not displayed in Aidyn Chronicles

I'm not sure if anyone has documented this, haven't seen it anywhere.

In Aidyn Chronicles, the Load/Save screen does not display the thumbnail of the saved state like it does in the N64 game. Instead, it merely displays a large black box where the image should be.

I would assume this is much like the problems with static images in Mario Tennis' replay feature and the large videoscreens in Mario Kart 64...

Let me know if you need a screenshot, but this is fairly self-explanatory if you've played the game.

using "Copy framebuffer to RDRAM" does work to some extent, but raises many other issues...

i) frame rate drops dramatically from ~60fps to ~16.
(I'm using a 2.67 GHz Celeron, 512MB RAM, Intel 82845G 64MB GFX card)

ii) when switching between action and the menu, the Load Game menu remains in the background and is completely visible during the change-over.

iii) the "screenshot" thumbnail representing the saved state is not actually taking a screenshot of the player and his surroundings, but instead the menu. (This actually seems to be a direct result of symptom (ii) above.)

If you need a screenshot, let me know.

Well, of course it's going to have a framerate drop, it's the framebuffer. However, being concerned about such a minor thing seems silly to me. Still, it doesn't seem to be documented yet so it's nice to know.

i've put this in the bug tracker pretty much as youve written it, so thanks, i trust you have that info right.

If you're going to respond to every person's bug information by patronizing, it's no wonder no one wants to post new bugs or bother with testing. I merely documented the results of Smiff's suggestion as it pertained to the problem as much as I thought necessary. The whole point of this forum is to document bugs in hopes of improving the software, regardless of how one person views the priority of the issue. If, in solving this issue with Aidyn Chronicles, the software is corrected/modified/updated, other games may possibly benefit from this bug. Did I ever once say that this was a pressing issue and must become top priority?

I didn't intend to come off as patronising. Sorry, it's just that the majority of posts here tend to be about someone who is seriously concerned about an error. It's good to see that someone quite level-headed in here with his bugs rather than the usual 'n00b', though, so hopefully we'll see you 'round more often.
