If you're a linux user, which distro(s) are you using?

I just started fooling around with linux recently, and I'm using Mandrake :teehee: ..... I'd like to try redhat, but one of the CDs that I downloaded seem to be corrupt, and I'm too lazy to download them again... :p

gentoo; slackware/debian are good if you don't like compiling, but they aren't as up-to-date

I like RedHat. My first version was like 5.1 or something on an old Dell Optiplex. It never installed right, lol. I was always missing one thing or another after each reinstallation. :p

when will people learn that it's not hard to notice something such as rom links in a sig. I have a question for you linux users, would I be able to install linux as a second os if I already have xp pro? If so then could you recommend a version of linux for me to try out.

Yes, you can quite easily dual boot with a single large hard drive, repartitioned with several partitions rather than one huge lump partition OR multiple physical drives. The linux boot loaders will load Windows and give you a nice menu selection. As for a version to try? Well Knoppix doesnt even require a hard drive. It will boot directly of the CD-Rom, excellent for expirimenting with Linux or even rescuing data off a crashed Windows installation.

I had to use XP's bootloader to do the dual booting. XP refuses to boot from LiLo or GRUB for me.

btw, smilies work again :)

My site isn't a ROM site at all.... There isn't even 1 ROM hosted on the server. It is a ROM/ISO trading/discussion forum, where all trading is done within instant messaging.... I don't believe the rules don't say anything about that... --_--;;

Its implied. You cant ask for roms here, nor can you post links to where you can implicitly ask for roms.
