Legend of Zelda Saving to Game Mem

Ok I beat the game.... and made a savestate at the ending credits scene. I never saved the game by using the start menu in LoZ because I did a marathon play and never Quit the game. Is there a way I can save the game to the cartridges memory? Because after the endign scene is over, it says Game Over and you need to restart

Do I need to make a MemPack or soemthing? I really hope to save it


Edit: And I am sur people in the past have done one marathon play and never turned their N64 off for 36 hours lol

Im tryin to help but after a week im bout to give up (save state might help though)

If I am understanding correctly, you saved the state after you finished the game and did not use any native saves, then effectively you have no way to recover your progress. Zelda does not use the Controller Pak, it had a built in save system. You should have saved the game natively by pressing start and B before delivering the final blow to Ganon at least. Saving this way does not quit the game.
