Legend of Zelda graphical issues

I don't know how to get images on this thing so I will explane as best as I can. When I upgraded from 1.5 beta1 to 1.5, I noticed graphical problems.
1. The Warp effect that occurs when link pulls the Master Sword out of the pedestal has changed from a smooth looking effect to a clumpy blue effect and you can obviously see the effect repeating.
2. Adult Links Earing disappers on the green background of his tunic.
3. Some of the cone effects that occur when you play a song, Like Eponas Song, are solid colors and not trasparant like they should be.
4. The Sun Glare effect goes thorough some of the objects it shouldn't be able to. After turning of the Clear mode it stopped, but doing that also turns of the glow affect around tourches
5. When I open big treasure chests I see transparent black planes instead of the gold effect I would see in 1.5 beta1.

I'm beginning to think that 1.5 beta1 was better than the final version.

My stats are:
Windows XP Professional
Direct X 9
GeForce 4 MX (Yes it's fully updated)
2.6 Ghz Pentium 4 Processor
512 MB Ram

That Damn Good
Try upgrading your 1.5 to 1.5sp1. You can also try other gfx plugins such as gln64 which is one of the best plugins for zelda.

I had already installed the service pack and I don't know where to get gln64.

From here, just go to the plugins section on the bottom of the main page.

I searched for the gln64 website and found the graphic plugin and installed it. When I started Zelda up I noticed a major graphical improvement in the beginning sequence, but I also noticed that black triangles would appear randomly in the top of the screen and brown triangles at the bottom. I went to the master sword warp area and noticed that the warp effect had improved byt it was darker that it was supposed to be and a black rectangle appered at the bottom of the screen. Any suggestions?

Try using other video plugins but you will probably have other problems when using them... Unfortunately we cannot have everything. ;)

All those are glN64() known issues that will probably be solved in the future.

No plugin can play Zelda 100% accurate yet as all the plugins show different problems. If you had a recommended spec. graphics card, then Jabo's plugin would improve eg. You wouldn't get the black chest problem.

Well at this point, the original plugin was best because at least it allowed me to see Mario's health meter. I'll try using different plugins.

Couldn't find anything. Was the beta Project 64 running a previous version of Jabo Direct3D? If so, where can I get it because the game was 90 percent perfect grapically in that beta version where its like 80 now.

I think you mean Jabo's D3D7 1.40. You can get that in the Project64 1.4 bundle.

Life meter prob? I can't see a problem in glN64()/Jabo's plugin at all.

I downloaded Project 64 1.5 beta1, extracted the files, took out the Jabo Direct3D7 1.40 and put it in the 1.5's plugin folder and deleted the beta files so now the game is back to its previous glory. Now all I have to do is switch it to the updated version whenever I play any of my other games. So now I'm set. Thanks for your help guys.
