Fory some reason when i play my super smash bros it laggs like hell and i'm, not sure if others roms are like that too....

You should try a lower resolution. Which Video-plugin are you using?

its more than likely his video card, try another video plugin, or another emu

He'd have to have a pretty poor card. I'm able to run roms on my server with a 8meg vanta without any lag. It's more so cpu heavy but his cpu seems to pass the bar by quite a bit...

What's your vid. card and plugin?

It isn't his video-card. A computer with 1,7 ghz has always a fast (I don't say good) video card.

If you're using Jabo's gfx, try using double buffer.

Not always does a fast computer have to have a fast graphics card - an Aunt of mine purchased an Athlon 2600XP computer recently with Integrated S3 Savage Pro DDR graphics... I wouldn't call that fast

thats definately your problem...

You can first try to update your video card drivers, that probably won't work though


So just get a Radeon 9600 for about $180 US, and you should have no problem running any 3d game. If you are on a tight budget and you don't care about AA or AF, get a Radeon 9100 for about $70US and you are good to go

Actually the name is SiS 650, and i'm not wrong is an integrated chip.

The SiS 6x0 family of video chips is really bad and not recommended with 3D games and applications. I have tried several models of those, and have found that none is fast.

Maybe you should try UltraHle 2064, since you have a fast processor that may give a help there. With your specs you should get 60 fps in zelda at 640x480 (for example)

I recently got a Ge-Force 4, 64 MB graphics card for $25.00 US at www.tigerdirect.com . I upgraded from a crappy integrated Intel Xtreme graphics. Check in your BIOS to see if you can disable your onboard video before you buy a GFX card. Also, make sure you are getting a PCI gfx card, bucause your motherboard probably doesn't have an AGP slot.
Hey, I have a motherboard with SiS integrated graphics too... It got fried by a cheap power supply, it smelled really bad. You should see the Cd-Rom drive, the chip inside melted like a volcano!
