im looking for all the search engines anyone can throw out... i would like to get as many search engines as possible, because my mom blocked most of them. im 16 and i cant even use search pages!?! its mad! ...............thank you for your time

dogpile.com does a mass search of all of the above
mamma.com does the same as dogpile
www.usseek.com is a pir8 search engine from many common search or website misspellings.

Better yet, describe the method used to block the search engines, and I can tell you how to get around it. You may be surprised at how weak most "parental discretion" software is.

My mom had no idea how to use a computer, but she always tried to take away my computer privledges when I was a kid, and always failed miserably. She would take away the power cord, meanwhile I had a pile of them in the closet :happy:

That is almost always the universal solution, and a better one anyways. But, some programs will completely take control of the tcp stack and only allow outgoing communications through a stupid local proxy service. Almost all of them that work this way are EASY to kill.

Wow I dont even know what the hell a firebird or IE is, am I the only one here lost. Well of course I'v never really had this problem. If anything me and my mom would just scream at each other for a few minutes, then we would just smack each other for another few minutes and go our seprate ways. Happy and stress relieved.

What is preventing someone from just killing the filtering program? User groups can prevent this on NT based OS'es, but I don't think with 95 based ones, and that's easy enough in itself to get around.
