Kaillera Questions.

I want to have my own Kaillera server and I have a firewall and I have a couple of questions. lain:

1. Will the server be able to be connected to from the outside even though I have a firewall?

2. Do I have to put my own IP adress in the config file for it to work? (I dont want to put it on automatic because I want to know the IP at all times.)

3. Will having the firewall effect what IP adress it will work with?

4. Will what IP adress I put in affect how it works with the firewall?

Any help is appreciated! (I have a Cable internet connection so dont go telling me not to try to host a server.)

Don't bother hosting a server, there are plenty our there on much faster connections than yours that you can use.

If you really want to however you will have to pour the blood of a virgin badger over your modem on the second consequtive night to the following full moon while saying the sacred words "Clatu Verata Necto". Then and only then will you be graced the power to run the server.

Actually, I wanted a server so me and my friends could play privately because they kinda have bad connections. And I also figured that I could use it to play matches for tourneys and stuff. lain:

You have to open a/some port(s) in the firewall. Read the Kaillera documentation if you haven't.

Ok I just checked the config file. It explains the things pretty good.
Just open the port in the firewall and point it at your computer and try and see if it works for other people outside to join.
