not really, unless theres been some megalomaniac priest whos been ordering people to clean his car or something.

and 2fast4u the monarchy doesnt control anyone in Britain the queen mother meant absolutely nothing to me and if she started making rules no one would follow them. the royal family are tourist objects full stop but the way the media sympathizes with them just makes me wanna puke. really hard

theacj, i was referring to religion, not monarchy. fortunately the english monarchy is out of power.

protestants are the biggest religion community in britian! And who is their leader... yeah, the Queen!! But she dont control them and boss them around.

Since when does religion control people? Sure they ask them to be kind to others, but I hardly see that as a bad thing.

"do what we tell u to do, otherwise u act against god and u will go to hell." -- thats how i understand it. plus read some history how religion was always used to gain and expand power, even by the church itself.

and being kind to others doesnt seem to apply if the others believe something different than u.

I can think of many more times where religion hasn't played a part in gaining power.

Only a handful of fundamentalists actually are against beliefs other than there own. Most people that have a religion don't think that anyone else in inferior. Again, I can think of many more instances where religion has played no part in people being hostile towards each other.

this is what i have to say in this thread about the death of the Queen Mother. . . I have no problems with people from other religions. i have no problem with poeple with no religion. i dont judge people for their sins and dont take that for me saying that people of a different religion are sinners becasue that's not what im saying 2fast4u. it was a continuation of i dont have a problem with. . . .
I am non-denominational (look it up) I live by faith not by rules set by the church. sure follow the 10 comandments and the Bible but because there are so many different interpritations of the word i study and find what makes the most sence to ME and follow THAT. so i have a mixture of beliefs from every sect of Christanity.
so am I religious . . . Yes
am i part of a religion. . . No
is a religion controling me . . . No because i am not part of one.

... we went thru all this crap before, and tri-force i still dont get the connection between the queens death and religion. so please, u complain about ppl going off-topic and then do it urself.

nyway ... im not talking about u as a single individual. neither am i saying that religion was ALWAYS the factor that was used to increase power (fuel). still thats no excuse.

can we finish this now, please ?? :sleepy:
