What's new

I've ALMOST completely made my Windows PC look like a Mac...any more ideas?

Don't forget to install a handle on the top of your PC as well. You can't have a mac without a handle, so you can practice Mac Hurling for a possible future olympic event. :)

Macs... handles on the top so you can throw them... as hard as you can, preferably against really really hard surfaces.

I only use PearPC for fun, just for the look/feel of a mac without having to waste money on one :p

About the PearPC progress, just go see the news on their website.......

Hey, I'm sorry about these idiot posts, ok? btw, how do i get pearpc to work? i visited their site and downloaded the software but when I try to use it a cmd prompt box opens and closes really quickly. i'm really cunfuzzled, and Basillisk II running Mac OS 7 is NOT good enough for me, lol. No stores in my area sell Macs, so could someone give me a site, and also about how much I'd be looking at to buy one? I don't want a laptop, just one that's good for emulation. thanks.

And you should also uninstall your sound card and GFX card, so that no games will work on your PC - just like on a real Mac!

That's interesting... my brothers 12 inch low-end Ibook can play games much better than my other brothers dell 1150 laptop. All macs have "real" graphics cards, unlike the stupid integrated graphics that are included with a lot of consumer PC's. As for the person who asked about browsers on mac, the safari browser that comes with Mac OSx is pretty good, but mozilla firefox (da' best) is also available. And if you REALLY want to have a crappy internet experience there's IE for mac.

define "one that's good for emulation"... the lowest priced mac is the $800 emac. It's got an ATI Radeon 9200, 256 mb of ram, 17 inch screen, DVD/CDR combo drive, and a 40 GB hard-drive. I'm not sure if it's good for emulation though... probably not that good for N64 emulation, but with SNES, NES, MAME, etc. it'd be fine.

Teh noes a mac beats a dell!

Or if you had a brain you could put together your own computer for A LOT less than a mac, and have a system that would be A LOT cheaper than a mac and more powerful than the mac.

Macs suck.

actually the mac isnt a hell lot more expensive than a state of the art pc and it beats the shit out of it in performance. the only downside is there is hardly any games for them ... but fuck it, not into pc games anyway :p
