Just Another Wacko ;)
I was looking to post some news the other day (it becomes quite rare for me these days) when I visited the MAME32 homepage... There, I noticed that a new pinball machine simulator named Future Pinball has been released... After reading some stuff about it I told to myself "What MAME32 has to do with pinball machines? It's just a pinball simulator..." and left the site.
A couple of days ago I visited the MAME32 homepage yet another time (news again) and after seeing the pinball thingy again I decided to check it out since I had nothing to lose (this thing is free). I visited the homepage of the project and after looking at some pics of Future Pinball in action I can say that it impressed me. Unfortunately it's quite common for many applications to look impressive but they turn out to be total crap... It was time to check how good (or bad) this thing is, so I actually downloaded it and installed it.
After setting every single video option to max I decided to try and run the default table that comes with Future Pinball... The result?
Amazing! Great graphics, nice physics, multiple camera angles, 3D environment... the rest depend on the one who made the specific table (you can make your own table too!). I still can't believe that this is actually a free piece of software.
Either if you are a Pinball fan or not you should at least give it a try (if you haven't already).

There are various 3rd party tables released too. Some of them are classics, some are impressive and look "full" while some others are quite unique. The bad news are that you must register to fileplanet or a forum to get some of them (up untill now, registration is free in any case).
I attached some pics of the most popular tables... Enjoy
