Is there a new star in Mario64?

In course 4 if i take the short-cut on the slide and make a jump immediately after entering it, there is the signal like when you have done something in other parts of the game to make a star appear somewhere else but i have found nothing. I have all the 120 stars but why this sound then? I don't know whether it is a bug or a new secret?

well ive got 175 Stars, all doors open (Plus Cannon) Yadda Yadda & thats just at the start of a new game
But again i do cheat

I worked hard to get the cheat there to use

I think its just an extra life, because you definately don't get a star for it.

Gent likes to use his cheats instead of doing it on his own.
After all, he is one of the guys who make the cheats
