Right now, I must say it's not a lot of fun being a gamer. Sure, you've got one or two killer games released every month or so, but that's about it. I rember getting my PS when they first came out, and being wow'd by the awesomeness of the games - forget one or two a month, you'd have 5+ killer games out in a matter of weeks.
What I'm trying to point out is that I just don't think gaming is that much fun anymore. The industry has certainly taken a turn for the worse with the introduction of the Next Next Next Gen consoles, and I just dread to think of what is around the corner.
I don't mean to whinge on and on, just wondered if I was alone in feeling that the games industry is grinding to a hault, or if people feel differently?
IMO, the death of the Dreamcast was one of the causes for this downfall, as I felt that Sega's (last) little box 'o tricks was finally injecting some much-needed originallity into the world of gaming. Now all we have to look forward to is the latest installment of Fifa, or the like.
Anyway, discuss! :satisfied
