Like replacing them w/ sumthing else? And also, ive been curios for a long time. Since emulators run on a pc and emulators have more power than the consoles, can we edit ROMs like cramming much stuff in it and putting 3D Graphics and stuff, so can it be still played on Emus but cant be played in regular consoles coz of its limitations?

The decent one
An emulator is a piece of software that tries to emulate the original console as close as possible, also the cpu-speed, so when you will get a slowdown on the real console (in this case the GBA), you will also get a slowdown when using an emulator (independent of your system). It also should be pretty difficult to hack a rom, and replace the textures and stuff, you can even call it nearly impossible to put new 3d-models in a game, but note that many plugins have functions like 2x SAi, and other filtering-options, that works independent from the emulator (or at least from the emulated functions) that will also increase the quality without speed-loss (when using a decent system) :)

Well, all you have to know is how the GBA's music is built in order to change it...
Changing the graphics is about the same, if you know how they are built, you can change them. In fact, you can build your own game that way :).
I don't think that changing the graphics from 2D to 3D is possible, though... But, I have read of an emulator that takes the real game (an old Pac-Man game) and emulates it, but instead of showing the game's graphics, it shows the graphics of a new made 3D game engine which was made by the emulator's programmer.
That way, the old 2D game is showing "it's" 3D graphics.
