dont know if this is the right forum to post in but anyway: what is the irc server for the #emulation64 channel? i know i could use the applet on the website but id rather use my own client (as you can probally guess im new to irc)

If you have mIRC, go into the connect options and there will be a drop down menu of IRC servers. Scroll down to EFnet(they are handily in alphabetcal order) then click the menu just underneath and pick a server until you are connected

to get mirc go to www.mirc.com and download it

will connect you to a random US EfNet IRC server

im using linux and dont want to "taint" my linux partition with to much non-opensource stuff so im using chatzilla irc client (it comes with mozilla) i tryed pasting that code into chatzilla but it said server unknown and then gave up.

Try to use XChat. You can use all the efnet servers, it doesn't matter which one you use, but if u choose one that is closer to your country you'll prolly have less lag.

If no servers on the default xchat list is working for u, u can add other ones manually (just use google and type efnet, you should be able to find some server lists).
