Its not what the hardware promises, but what it actualy delivers.
You have got a good point there....I have seen several magazines comparing PS2, XBox and GC with eachother and they listed Mhz without mentiong that the CPU's are totally different...PS2 has RISC CPU, XBox x86 CPU and the GC something else afaik....impossible to compare by MHz....:sleepy:

I said that already. Only with an unholy batch of scarcasm and subtle insults thrown into the mix.
Though on further thought, it doesn`t actually matter a damn bit what the hardware even delivers unless it`s a PC playing GTA3. Take GBA. A fraction of the power of the XtraLargeBox, but already a vast amount of much better games. Gameplay is what matters... and if that`s true most of us may just as well stick with our Tetris carts that`ve been hanging around for 10-12 years or so now.

Well take into consideration that All the x-box is IS a computer that is completely dedicated to gameplay, while as a computer loaded with a ti4600 does much more than just gaming. In other words its just that the x-box can run pretty damn well with games because all it's supposed to do is play games, a computer has to prioritize other stuff. Thats what i get from the differences in a console-computer and an ACTUAL computer

Okay - for the last time. The card in the Xbox, due to not just the specs but the way it is used, is loosely comparable to a top-range gf2 to a mid-range gf3. No more. That is according to a large developer`s lead XBox programmer (who in fact benchmarked the card itself recently with the offical dev tools), who I would say knows what he`s talking about.
