Hey you savvy tech guys,
I'm having a little problem and was wondering if you could help. I recently installed Windows XP x64, and the thing is, I can't get access to internet via either Firefox or Internet Explorer. HOWEVER, I can get access to internert via using explorer and YES I have internet connection, because I can also use ping or tracert.
Does anyone know the cause of this? I also noticed something... I tried windows update in explorer and said that it needed a 32-bit software to view the site (obviously explorer is 64-bit). However, when clicking the button there it launched IE and said that a 32-bit software is now viewing the site. Does that mean that it is 32-bit programs that have problems accessing Internet? Can it be something with the network drivers?
EDIT: Both 32-bit IE and 64-bit IE works, BUT no other programs will (Firefox, Getright, Messenger, etc). This is weird. And annoying!
