Intellimouse Explorer Optical... Changing buttons in XP

hi guys, i have one of these, but it is so annoying when i click the extra buttons by accident, any idea how to change em, ive looked on the mouse properties, and i dont think the software included will work with xp

cheers mate, i just like to keep away from most MS stuff, cuz most of it is bloatware/spyware

maybe install the software, configure it and then remove the software, it may keep your preferences

tried that mate, it just leaves the settings as default, i would keep the software, but it loads up on startup and takes up 6mb of ram :/

I have to use windows, cuz not many things support linux etc, if linux etc supported all of windows stuff, i'd use that, i dont trust ms much more, windows is full of security holes, though i have made certain measures to be as secure as possible

if you want to be secure, install win2k3 enterprise, damn near everything is turned off on it
