Intel i810, how to fix graphics :)

Well, I have an Intel i810 in my computer (my dad's computer has it as well), and I just discovered how to fix most of the graphics problems... Simply use Jabo's Direct3D8 1.6 plugin, and disable the 'Hide advanced options' option. Then, go to the 'Advanced' tab, and tick 'Force Alpha Blending'. This seems to fix a large number graphics problems on the i810 (and actually makes Mario Party 3 playable :D)

Just wanted to share this with anyone else that has to put up with the stupid i810 card :p

EDIT: Just so you can see the difference, here's some screenshots of the Marip Party 3 opening sequence, taken on my computer:

i doubt this will fix all problems.

the main cause of errors is where the plugin calls on a Dx extension that the video chip doesn't cater for, in most cases, pixel shaders and transparency.

I find that using Rice's latest plugin cures a lot of the errors for me, or the tried and tested eVoodoo + Glide64 combination. NOTE - if you have an Intel 810 or 815 you should still use eVoodoo rather than Hackturux' wrapper, as OpenGL support on these chipsets is...well, crap to be brutally honest!

Yeah the Glide64+eVoodoo combination can be a bit temperamental!

There are several different versions of each and it's best to remember that eVoodoo was only developed up until around version 5 of Glide64 (which is now up to version 8 or 9 I think). I think the best combo I found was eVoodoo 3.2 and Glide64 0.5. Also, try eVoodoo 3.99 for some games, but the later versions (Nemesis I think) don't work very well....
