Infinite crystal coconut cheat for Donkey Kong 64 using Project 64 doesn't work?

Hi, I've been playing on Donkey Kong 64 for a couple hours and have been playing around with the cheat codes. I wanted to use diddy kong's jetpack for an infinite amount of time.. but the crystal coconut infinite cheat doesn't seem to work? What's the deal? Any advice? Thanks for any help anyone can give!

P.S: The places where specials aren't allowed are still active, and also imagine if there were a button combo to use your special literally ANYWHERE! THAT would be cool.
